And now I have stupid rehearsal.
From infancy, they've always given me the feels.
Maybe cause I'm a naval gazer by nature (I'm other really good things, though). Maybe because even when rich successful people live their dreams it gives me feels.
Also I actually saw a lot of the movies out. Which doesn't happen because I see things/catch onto the fad 6months-10 years after it's a thing.
It's chill. Because "Dick Blizzard" is rehearsing.
So I started this rap musical parody of "Orange is the New Black" set in an animal shelter, for #serials@theflea and we're coming back in March.
It's funny, because it upsets me to have writers pit against writers, to find myself thinking about votes and how much people like it...but I'm grateful to the format for producing my wacky rap musical and giving me an outlet to just be weird and funny. For a while I was getting the note that my jokes were overwhelming my plays at points and I realized that I needed to write more comedy-get some of the funny out of my system. It's leaving me both satisfied and craving to write some real substance. So I'm grateful to sketch-ey evenings that are fun for the sake of fun. I think they're important.
SO LOCKED UP BITCHES EPISODE 2. March 12. My mom's ruul proud.
I am an optimist.
